Britney Spears Arrested At Michael Jackson Memorial Concert
Sunday 3 July 2011
Britney Spears was arrested by police yesterday for attempting to force her way onto the stage at the Michael Jackson memorial concert, ending a sorry week for the princess of pop, as she has now been arrested at two high profile memorial services in as many weeks.
After gate-crashing Farrah Fawcett’s funeral only last week, where she is reported to have disturbed mourners by clawing at the Charlie’s Angels star’s coffin as it was lowered into the ground, she sank to a new low in front of a global audience of music fans yesterday, screaming, “It should have been me!” several times before gripping onto Jackson’s casket so tightly that guards were forced to bite her fingers in order to drag her off.
“Britney’s a mess”, said a police officer who attended the arrest. “It was clear from the moment she arrived at the event that she was there to cause trouble, as she eyeballed me on the way in while making the ‘I’m watching you’ sign with her fingers, and made a throat cutting motion before blowing me a kiss.”
It was also noted by many who witnessed the spectacle that Miss Spears seemed to be dressed somewhat inappropriately for a memorial service, having chosen to wear bright red hot pants and a see-through top revealing the word ‘Bad’ scrawled in crayon over her naked breasts.
“It’s fair to say she hasn’t taken Michael’s death well”, said Spears’ manager, who refused to comment on reports that the singer was last seen driving in the direction of Graceland armed with a bottle of Jack Daniels and a shovel. “Not well at all.”
